Las Vegas, Nev. – All In Aviation, , Southern Nevada’s premier flight school and full-service aviation company, became the first independent flight school in the U.S. to acquire the ALSIM ALSR20 Flight Training Device (FTD) when it purchased the simulator at EAA Oshkosh AirVenture in July 2022. This month, All In Aviation announces the ALSR20 simulator has earned an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) qualification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
One of the most innovative flight training simulators on the market, the ALSR20 provides student pilots with a unique and immersive training option to experience as part of All In Aviation’s flight training program. Prior to certification, students could use the ALSR20 to supplement their training without the ability to count the flight hours. With FAA certification, use of the simulator now qualifies toward earning a private pilot license (PPL) and instrument rating (IR).
“We pride ourselves on providing the most advanced flight training options to the Las Vegas community,” said Paul Sallach, President of All In Aviation. “Adding the ALSR20 to our curriculum has allowed us to diversify our training program while preparing students for flying a Cirrus. With the simulator now certified by the FAA, we are thrilled that the time students spend in the SIM is more than just practice.”

Equipped with ALSIM’s Advanced VFR Visual System featuring a 270-degree wrap-around screen, ALSIM’s patented force feedback system, and a Cirrus SR G6-specific interior cockpit and flight deck with Garmin avionics, the ALSR20 FTD is a replica of the SR20 Cirrus Aircraft. This setup allows student pilots to familiarize themselves with Cirrus Aircraft’s specifications before getting into an actual plane.
All In Aviation’s simulator is the only one of its kind in Southern Nevada, and the only ALSR20 FTD in the U.S. operated by an independent flight school. There is currently one other ALSR20 FTD in North America located at Cirrus Aircraft’s Vision Jet Center in Knoxville, TN.
